Considering the increase in violence against emergency medical services (EMS) professionals, the radio should be gaining importance among the items taken on scenes and to the patients' sides, right along with a defibrillator and oxygen. Consider your options for communication. If you were responding to a questionable location for a patient where 911 has been unable to gain a lot of details about the complaint, which device would you personally prefer to have, radio on cell phone? Discuss how you would use it to summon help and what additional features (e.g., Global Positioning System [GPS], integrated body-worn cameras, wireless enhancements) would be helpful
