Dithering or also known as half-tone printing is often used when converting grayscale images to monochrome. There are several different types of dithering. By using the 7 3 9 pattern mask given as 5 1 8 4 2 6 and by referring to Figure Q2(c) that shows a small portion of the pixel data for a grayscale image, briefly explain the pattern dithering process and compute the output pixels value after pattern dithering is applied to the image. Also suggest other types of general dithering that can be applied to the image.
