DMAIC: Measure

With this assignment, we'll address the M stage of the DMAIC methodology. Before processes are improved, they need to be measured, and we need to know the current state. Although there are many ways and tools to do that, we'll apply some of them, a flowchart and process capability measures.

Make a histogram

It will have an approximate shape of a bell curve. Make sure to properly choose the parameters.

Considering that the nominal value is $1\mathrm{.}2$ and USL$=1\mathrm{.}5$ and $LSL=0\mathrm{.}9,$ what is the conclusion about the process? Is the process in control?

Locate $Cp$ and $Cpk.$ What is your conclusion based on these values? Explain for each.
