The first shows the depth in feet versus the surface area in square miles of the 33largest world lakes (including bodies of water that are called seas but are really lakes). The largest lake (the Caspian Sea) was then removed from the analysis; the results of that analysis are shown in the second display.

Compare the two sets of results. Was the largest lake influential? Explain. Do the plots show that removing the largest lake improves the conditions for inference?
