My discussion was originally an argument on why the death penalty is immoral and how it degrades human lives/ has so much room for error. Now that I've actually understood my assignment, my topic is comparing the death penalty to other forms of imprisonment such as life in prison to show how the death penalty is an inferior form on punishment My main points of comparison would be that they are both removed from society, it serves as a form of justice, and it deters crime. The essay would mostly be to highlight their differences: the death penalty is permanent and their is room for error, such as risk of executing an innocent man. Also, that it is very costly, and the viewpoint of it being inhumane
