Do this assignment even if you have no intention, at this time, to attend graduate school. I strongly encourage everyone to at least consider graduate school as an option. The instructor offers the iterative process for this assignment. That means that the student will submit the individual assignments such as this one (Personal Statement) throughout the course and receive feedback for improvement from the instructor. The student will make revisions to the assignment according to the instructor's feedback prior to submitting the final draft (due Week 16).

The personal statement is your opportunity to sell yourself in the application process to the graduate school. These statements generally fall into one of two categories:

a. The general, comprehensive personal statement:This allows you maximum freedom in terms of what you write and is the type of statement often prepared for standard medical or law school application forms.

b. The response to very specific questions:Often, business and graduate school applications ask specific questions, and your statement should respond specifically to the question being asked. Some business school applications favor multiple essays, typically asking for responses to three or more questions.

There are several areas of interest you should include in a general personal statement:

• The value of education.
• Explain your plans for the degree.
• Why you want to go to graduate school.
• And why they should select you for admission.

A little overview to help write the personal statement I think the value of education is very important . I want to get my Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and be a counselor to help others for many purposes. then I want to go to graduate school I need help when the statement is written to why.
