Classmate 1 Question Roles in the security industry are rapidly changing. Modernization has generated new security issues, which are evolving on a daily basis. Because of globalization, the industry will have quite different obligations in the future (Monahan, 2010). These will involve artificial intelligence machine regulation, cyber security, vital infrastructure protection, and many other things. The artificial intelligence (ai) business is one of the fastest developing; high mechanizations may pose a threat to humans in the future. The future security industry will be in charge of regulating this business to ensure safe robotics activity. Because of the rising rate of computer connectivity and internet usage, cyber security will become a major concern. As a result, the sector will have to react to a new reality that is already taking shape. There is no question that the future will be largely automated. Infrastructural projects that are highly technology and automated are expected. It will be up to the industry to ensure the safety of such initiatives. Furthermore, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is in charge of protecting the country from the numerous dangers it encounters. Former President George W. Bush established it in November 2002. Border control and patrol, immigration law enforcement, and national leader protection are all tasks of homeland security. Although immigration has always been a concern, the current influx in immigrants, especially illegal immigrants, has made the departments' jobs more difficult (Kiltz, 2011). I must mention that the department has been one of the largest and most overworked in the US government since its beginnings. In the future, the department's tasks will expand to meet the above-mentioned security issues in order to safeguard the nation's security. Homeland security is in charge of protecting the country from the majority of the risks it encounters. As a result, the department is concerned about the future security sector since it will be accountable for the majority of the positions in the future industry. With the anticipated changes, the department is expected to plan how to address the new issues (Kiltz, 2011).

Classmate 2 Question The departments first priority is to protect the nation against further terrorist attacks. The departments agencies analyze threats and intelligence, guard the borders and airports, protect critical infrastructure, and coordinate the responses of the nation for future emergencies. (Dempsey, 2010. pg. 388). Private industry owns and operates about 85 percent of Americas critical infrastructure and key assets; therefore, it is incumbent on this industry to play a central and aggressive role in protecting these vital economic sectors. (Dempsey, 2010. pg. 390). Also, market research on the security industry reported that the global security industry has moved from a peripheral activity to center stage. (Dempsey, 2010. pg. 391).
