Activity 2: Process architecture for a university. (15p) Consider the following scenario: A university provides education services and additional services to its students. There are two types of education services: award courses and professional training courses. The admission of a student to such courses varies based on the course chosen. For award courses, when a domestic student sends in their admission form such a student is first registered by the admissions office (this entails various process steps e.g. submission of form, payment of enrolment fee, ...). Subsequently, the eligibility to study in a certain program is checked based on the information that the student provided on their admission form. For international students, eligibility check also includes checking language requirements (e.g., whether they have passed an English test). Subsequently, for international students, the previous studies that the student took according to their admission form, must be examined in detail. When students are considered eligible and the courses that they have already followed (if applicable) have been checked out for advanced standing purposes, they are enrolled at the university, which involves sending a letter that they are accepted and entering the details of their enrolment in the information system of the university. The student then becomes a student of their respective study: industrial engineering, building or construction engineering. The university recognizes part-time award students who do their studies while they are working in a company. The admission to professional training courses does not have any prerequisites or eligibility require- ments. The student is simply enrolled upon registration. Award course students, once enrolled, are entitled to additional services provided by the university, which include language training and access to sport facilities. Design a process architecture as follows: identify the core, support and management processes, and organise them within appropriate process groups in a process landscape; identify the value chain for students admission and its variants; indicate which guidelines you applied for scoping processes horizontally in the value chain for students admission; identify possible sub-processes.
