• DR Corp is a medium-sized digital print manufacturing plant, employing 50 people, working two shifts (there are lag and gaps during shift changeover).
• All production and finishing are completed in house, including local shipping **there is no finished goods inventory management as their primary operations model is make and ship.
• The equipment is in good shape.
• With the number of different products being manufactured simultaneously, the operational focus needs to keep products moving effectively, timely, quality, and without mix-ups.
• The technical team needs to develop additional product trials for variable print capabilities.
• All departments could improve productivity and reduce waste.
• The company does have some spare funds to invest in smaller-scale software systems, but not into an additional MIS.
