Scenario
Your task as a Coop student with the city is to help the Welcoming Committee develop a website with information new residents need to know about the various resources and services the city has to offer. You will help with this project by writing a research recommendation report that the Welcoming Committee can post to the website or use in a printed guide.
You have completed the following tasks:

Transfer information from your outline to a new Word document.

Task Assignment Instructions
A progress reports general purpose is to reassure your audience that you are making progress, that the project is going smoothly, and that it will be completed by the expected due date. This type of report also offers the opportunity to:
provide a brief look at preliminary findings or inprogress work on the project,
give your supervisor a chance to evaluate your work on the project and to suggest or request changes,
give you a chance to discuss problems in the project and thus forewarn your supervisor of potential issues, and
force you to establish a work schedule so that you will complete the project on time.
Your progress report should be an informal report with a focus on the specific weekly tasks completed so far, the order of tasks completed, and the progress made with each task.
Your Progress report should include:

An introduction that details:
the purpose of your progress report,
the date the project began and the date the project is scheduled to be completed,
the name of the person working on the project and their role,
the person and the organization for whom the project is being submitted, and,
an overview of the contents of the progress report.
A body that details the project, and provides a clear idea of the current status of your project including:
a review of the work completed, work in progress, and work remaining to be done on the project
a highlight of completed tasks and include specific details from weekly tasks,
a timeline for when the remaining work will be completed, and
a clear explanation of any issues that might affect the completion of the project and how you will overcome those issues.
A conclusion that summarizes the project and its expected completion to:
reassure your supervisor that the project is progressing and is on schedule,
alert your supervisor to unexpected changes in direction or scope, andor
alert your supervisor of any problems in the project that may require intervention.
