Each professional chaplain is subject to the code of ethics of their respective certifying organization. We often think of these codes negatively, i.e., as a list of "Thou shalt not's" which only catch our attention when we or a peer seem to violate them. But a code of ethics can also be a positive resource, i.e., a guide, an affirmation.
