Each student will prepare a term paper on a major "quality continuous improvement" topic of interest to the student. Subject approval is required by the instructor. Each student will submit a written report on a quality management topic related to the course material. The project term paper should be constructed using APA format, composed in Microsoft Word Software, using Times New Roman font, 12-point font size, double spaced, and will contain reference citations and a references section. Suitable report topics include: A review of current literature concerning a quality management topic A comparison of quality management techniques between two companies A detailed analysis of an existing company's approach to quality A comprehensive research of the application of TQM in a specific industry. For example, How TQM is or should have been done in a specific industry Research into ways in which to implement TQM Six Sigma for the Service Sector or other specific industry sector Internal Services Performance Management Linking Customer Measures to Processes - QFD Deming Management Principles in Education or Services or other industry (The student cannot simply list Deming's 14 points in any portion of the paper.
