Each team will design a full$-$scale reinforced concrete, two$-$story office building according to the

ACI$-318-19$ code.

The building layout must adhere to the following:

a$)$ Overall building length: $80$ feet

b$)$ Overall building width: $40$ feet

c$)$ Clear height of each floor: $12$ feet

d$)$ Each floor is made of $6$ inches reinforced concrete slab and $7/8"$ hardwood flooring

e$)$ HVAC and mechanical duct allowance for each is $6psf$

Specify material property $($elastic modulus, yield strength, compressive strength, etc...$)$ f$)$ Add a green roof $($add weight of green roof to dead load$)$

Estimate the gravity loads for each floor including roof $($no snow or rain loads$).$

Design the reinforcement for the slab

Size the structural members to support the specified loads

a$)$ reinforced concrete beams in each bay

b$)$ reinforced concrete columns

Create drawings of the building as well as individual components. All drawings should be

generated with a computer or neatly by hand

The final report is due on the last day of class
