ECE 1140 Observation Practicum Student Self-Evaluation Evaluation Procedure Practicum Goals In a practicum setting, the student will provide and maintain a safe, healthy physical environment as well as provide opportunities for emotional, social, cognitive and physical growth for children. The student will demonstrate resourcefulness, responsibility, and respectful practice related to the practicum setting and the children in that setting. It is the responsibility of the Sponsor Teacher to complete the evaluation guide for the student and review the information with the student at the end of the practicum. The student will complete a student evaluation guide and share information and comments with the Sponsor Teacher. As this is an ongoing process, please use a pencil initially, as progress will change the final attained level. The final rating must be written in ink. It is suggested that the Evaluation Guide be completed on an ongoing basis, to determine the progress and document any areas that need to be addressed. This Evaluation Guide must be completed by the last day of the student's practicum, and ready for submission. The Evaluation Guide has the following Sections: 1. Work Place Conduct (Professionalism) 2. Work Place Conduct (Interpersonal Skills) 3. Observing Children 4. Working With Children 5 . Final Evaluation Comments Practicum Evaluation...
