Edwin is a maintenance worker at a home for the elderly. He feels valued at his workplace, especially since Covid 19, when the cleanliness of the place came under intense scrutiny. The duties Edwin was expected to do each week doubled with all of the additional cleaning requirements, and there seemed to be a constant staff shortage. As a result, Edwin was getting scheduled for many hours each week. For almost a year, Edwin appreciated the extra hours as he could always use the money. He also liked how supportive his supervisor was, as he was known to give the staff $50 Walmart gift cards on major holidays and ordered them pizza lunches occasionally. However, lately, Edwin was exhausted and wanted more time off. He missed getting together with friends and family.
