The purpose of a radome is to protect the antenna that lies behind it against weather and other damaging causes, see Figure 1, which illustrates a radome with a navigation radar for an airborne vehicle.

The radome should affect the radiation as little as possible, and often it is built using sandwich technology with several layers of dielectric materials, see Figure 2. Your term project is to design a radome with two layers.
