EM8.5 Time Entry and Time Activities Report

Cy is still working as a full-time professional while launching Mookie The Beagle Concierge and would like a better idea of how many hours he is investing in his new startup. So he uses QBO to track his time spent coding the Mookie The Beagle Concierge app. Complete the following to enter time for Cy.

Required:

1. Verify that Service Field on Timesheet is Turned On.

Select Gear icon > Account and Settings > Time

Check Add Service field to time sheets setting to On

Check Make Time Entry Billable to Customer setting to On

Select Save > Done

2. Create Time Entry.

Select (+) New icon > Time Entry (or Single Time Activity). (Note that your Employees menu may change from Time Entry to Single Time Activity and Weekly Timesheet.)

Select Name: Cy Walker

Using Calendar, select Date: 01/18/2023

Add Service: + Add new > select Service. (Note: if your Service field does not provide the option to add a new Product or Service from the Service field, then add the new service specified below, MTB App Development, using the Products and Services List.)

Enter Product or Service Information Name: MTB App Development

Select Category: + Add New

Enter New Category Name: Time Tracking

Select Save

Select: I purchase this Product or Service from a vendor

Enter Cost: 0.00

Enter New Expense Account: + Add New

Select Account Type: Other Expense

Select Detail Type: Other Miscellaneous Expense

Enter Account Name: Time Tracking

Select Save and Close to close the Account form

Select Save and close to close the Product or Service form

Uncheck Billable (per hour)

Start Time is 7:00 PM

End Time is 9:00 PM

Given the Start Time and Stop Time, enter Duration
