The purpose of this letter is to let the Chamber know that your restaurant will be participating in the upcoming 2021 Open Streets event! The Chamber has asked for all member businesses to inform them if they are planning to participate so it can promote the participating businesses to the press as well as on its website and social media. This is a good opportunity for you! Open Streets (Background) Open Streets is an actual event that is happening in Windsor Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Businesses (retail, restaurants etc.) bring their inventory outside and restaurants serve patrons on their patios in front of their business. People often bicycle along the streets to see what is available and socialize with friends. The City of Windsor promotes this event as an opportunity to be outside and physically active while also supporting our economy. Last year's event was cancelled because of Covid-19. The Open Streets "route" is Sandwich Street west of the University of Windsor to Riverside Drive and east along University Avenue and Wyandotte streets to parts of Drouillard Road near Walkerville.
