ENG $1440-$ Forces in Various Single Plane Trusses

Fall term $2023$

Two load cases. You may start at any station; once loaded, results recorded, and unloaded, move to adjacent apparatus for other load case.

Each member from a group should perform one of the loadings, either load case $1$ or $2.$ Both members are responsible to record results for each load case.

Each ENG $1440$ Section will apply the specified loads noted below

Load Case $2-$move loading jack upwards at angle, pulling away from truss.

F will show positive force tension$).$ If negative rotate jack handle other direction!

All Sections $-$ apply upwards angled force $=+200N$

Ensure Load Jack is slightly loose $($no force applied$)$ before taring data acquisition $($T or Tara$)$

Load case above is applied $45$ degrees from horizontal$/$vertical$.$
