Basically, the question is asking how did you feel after watching Cairo's TedTalk and why? Which sentences from the TedTalk resonated with you? Essay Structure: Introduction The introduction should contain four to five sentences that set up the focus of the paper clearly. 1. The introduction should briefly introduce the TedTalk and the main topic that you will address in your paper. 2. The introduction should have a thesis statement, which clearly indicates the argument you will be making in your paper. This is perhaps the most important sentence because it sets up the scope of your paper. The thesis should be one sentence. The thesis statement answers the assignment question. It should be the last sentence of your introduction. Body The goal in the body paragraphs is to prove or support your thesis statement. The number of body paragraphs should be equal to the number of your main points in the thesis statement. You should have two or three body paragraphs. Body Paragraph 1 1. Begin the paragraph with a topic sentence that contains information about your first thesis point. 2. Include a quotation (fewer than 40 words) that supports your first thesis point. The quote should be a meaningful sentence or sentences. The goal of including a quotation is to (a) provide textual evidence to support your argument, (b) demonstrate your critical understanding of the video, and () unpack the underlying messages of the sentence. Therefore, choose quotes that allow for interpretation and analysis. 3. After the quotation, an analysis of the quotation must be included. Answer the following questions: What is the underlying message of the quote? What emotional response does the quote evoke in you, that is, how does it make you feel, and why? At the end of the body paragraph, write a concluding sentence that summarizes the points made in the paragraph.
