Entrepreneur Interview Assignment

This assignment gives you a chance to talk with a real entrepreneur.

1. Single-spaced, Times New Roman, font size 12, 1-inch margins.
2. Each student will submit a 1-2 page summary of his/her interview with an entrepreneur. The only requirement is that the person you interview must have started his or her own business, or been part of the founding team. Success or failure of the venture is not important.
   1. The interview should include at a minimum the following three questions:
   2. How and why was the venture started?
   3. What are the benefits and drawbacks of working in a small business?
   4. What advice can you give if I want to start a business?

Additional questions that may help you during the interview:

• What is your personal history related to entrepreneurship?
• What do you like the most about being an entrepreneur?
• What do you like the least about being an entrepreneur?
• What has been the biggest obstacle youve needed to overcome as an entrepreneur?
• What is your role in the business?
• What is the history of the business?
• What particular product or service do you sell?
• Why and when did you start the business?
• What were your early-stage challenges?
• How have you managed the growth of your business?
