E-portfolio Reflection: Guidelines and Rubric * Each student must submit an INDIVIDUAL reflection on EITHER the Video Commentary or Activity Presentation assignments completed for this course. Your reflection for the e-portfolio counts for 5% of your final grade. * Each reflection should AT LEAST be 500 words: 1.5 spaced, in Times New Roman font size 12, 1 inch (2.54cm) margin for all sides (Assessed) * Before you start writing the reflection, think about the BTC Teacher Competency(ies) that this course, and particularly the assignment you have chosen for the reflection, has helped you acquire. * Your reflection should address the following points: - A very brief introduction explaining the assignment and its purpose as you understand it. - An explanation of how you, not the group, approached this assignment to complete it. For example, did you refer to the course materials, your TP material, the library, or the internet? Did you follow certain steps to complete it in a timely and organized manner? - An explanation of how this assignment has helped you acquire certain BTC Teacher Competencies. Mention specific examples. - An explanation of how this content course - which focused on improving your teacher talk in the classroom - has affected your ongoing progress as a learner/teacher, and how it can help you become a better teacher in the future. (Give specific examples). Important Notes: * The reflection is an in-depth analysis of the learning experience that value of the derived learning to self or others. Hence, your reflection needs to demonstrate a range of analytical practices supported by clear, detailed examples. Your reflection must include clear references to the content of the course. * Your reflection must be thoughtful, thorough, and well-written.
