Business Case: Grade Appeal Process

In a university, a student can apply for a grade appeal by filling up the details in the grade appeal form and submits it to the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs. Once the Grade Appeal form is received by the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs, it triggers the process. The Office of the Dean of Student Affairs first investigates the appeal for reasonable ground. If there is a reasonable ground, the grade appeal form is forwarded to the concerned college. The college sends the grade appeal form to the teacher concerned. The teacher checks the grades of the students. If there is an error, the teacher prepares a correction in the grade appeal form and submits back the form to the college. The college sends back the grade appeal form to the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs. If there is no reasonable ground, the appeal is rejected.
