Every complex problem involves a number of different people, business, political levels, organizations, etc. These are the stakeholders. Sometimes, when we look at a problem, we don't readily recognize that there are many stakeholders that are either affected by the problem or that add to the problem. Consider the problem of littering. At first, we might think that the only people responsible for this problem are the ones who throw their trash on the ground or out their car windows. However there are many other people, businesses, organizations, and political levele that are affected by the problem or add to it.

Think about the problem of littering. Make a list of as many stakeholders as you can think of and explain what their role is in the problem. You should be able to come up with a list of at least four. Your posting should be about 150 words. Post this to your CP Journal (call it CP Task 9.1). This task will help you understand the systems thinking models we will use later in the Final Project.
