Which adage applies to your communication in intercultural relationships?
Who we are attracted to is largely determined by cultural contexts. Notions of attractiveness are defined for us and reinforced by what we see on TV and film and in other media. The standard of beauty for American women seems to be white and blonde, and at least one study found that, while only 5% of the white population in the US is naturally blonde, 30% of female senators, and 50% of CEOs are "blonde" (Zetlin, 2019).
What is your opinion on the notions of attractiveness? Should notions like these be challenged or accepted?
