THE PROBLEM

The uv spectrum of this compound shows' strong end absorption $($strong off$-$scale absorption below $200nm)$ in $95\%$ cthanol, with shoulders at ${}_{\text{m}\text{a}\text{x}}252nm(login2\mathrm{.}4)$ and $280nm(login2\mathrm{.}2).$ The $252nm$ band shows fine structure. The ir spectrum is obtained on a neat liquid sample $($no solvent$).$
