Excel Project #1

This is a multi-part assignment using various functions in Microsoft Excel. You should start the project as soon as it becomes available. You can find all of the procedures for performing the tasks required for this assignment in the Excel Notes folder in Blackboard. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

For each exercise, you must:

• Copy and paste the output (not the original input data) to a single Word file
• Organize the output in the order of the questions (e.g., Ex #1, Ex #2, etc)
• Submit the final Word file with the output to Blackboard in the appropriate Excel Project folder

Exercise #1

I surveyed 38 students and asked for their favorite soda from the CLC pop machines. Here is the list of responses: pepsi, mountain dew, pepsi, sierra mist, pepsi, diet pepsi, sierra mist, sierra mist, pepsi, other, pepsi, diet pepsi, pepsi, mountain dew, mountain dew, pepsi, other, pepsi, mountain dew, diet pepsi, diet pepsi, other, sierra mist, diet pepsi, mountain dew, diet pepsi, sierra mist, other, mountain dew, mountain dew, mountain dew, diet pepsi, mountain dew, diet pepsi, sierra mist, diet pepsi, other, diet pepsi

• Create a qualitative frequency distribution for the data (see Using Excel to Create Pie Charts video).

Make a pie graph.Make a pareto chart (The Chart should be non-increasing).
