Exercise $1$

In the registration system students arrive at the cashiers approximately every

minutes. Here the students pay registration fees, before they can register, and

usually takes $4-6$ minutes. Assume that there is no constraint on the cashiers. The

next step is to register for a course and choose subjects. One of five clerks will

assist with the registration and this step usually takes $15$ minutes, but can be as

short as $12$ minutes or as long as $18$ minutes. After this the student receive a

printout from one computer and the printing takes $1\mathrm{.}2$ minute per printout. At

this point the registration process is complete and the students can go home. Run

the simulation for one $8$ hour day. If the clerk determines that $14\%$ of the

students do not qualify to register. These students are sent home. Rerun the

simulation and observe your solution.
