Exercise 1": Summarizing Total Ridge Count With a Figure You are going to draw a Figure for the Statistics you calculated in the previous Exercise. In the Working Wltl'l Data Investigation, you learned how to draw the correct kind of Figure. I strongly encourage you to review that information. This Figure is worth a substantial portion of your grade on this Lab, so be sure it's accurate and complete. For an example of an accurate, complete Figure, look at Figure 1 in the Working Ill'ri'ith Data Investigation. To eam full points, your Figure MUST meet all of the following criteria If you don't understand some of thesi criteria, as your Instructor for clarication. Il'.':l'-lt.ITEFtIrlr FDR EARNING FIJLL POINTS ON A FIGURE OF MEANS AND AVERAGE DEVIATIIDNS - Indicate lvleans with dots. All dots must be the same size and shape, and be large enough to see cleany. Average - Indicate Average Deviations with perfectly straight lines. Devlatio ns You must draw your lines with a ruler so they are perfectly straight. There must be an upper and a lower line coming out of each lvlean. The upper and lower line for a specic Mean must be exactly the same length. The upper and lower lines should each end with a short, straight crossline. In other words, the upper line will look like a T, while the lower line will look like an inverted T. 'r- Axis Numbers must be added to the yaxis, starting at zero. Numbers must line up correctly and neatly with the appropriate tic marks. Spacing between numbers on the yaxis must be the same for the entire yaxis. For example, yaxis numbers could be [1, 5, 1D, 15, but they couldn't be El, 5, 5D, El]. Yaxis numbers must be chosen so that all data can fit in the Figure. Data can't 'run off the top of the yaxis, and you can't add more to the axis. The yaxis scale must end at a number that is only a little larger than the biggest data point that will be plotted on the Figure.
