EXERCISE 3 Gummy Bear Experimental Design

While you already collected your individual data, let's now identify the various parts of an experiment for this taste test. The experiment will include not just your results but the those from some of your class an also some data provided on HM.

Hypothesis

Recall that the hypothesis we are testing is:

Consumers associate the color of gummy bears based on taste alone.

Predictions

3a. Generate some specific predictions for this experiment within the context of this hypothesis. Your predictions should be based on the information you read in the article, the packaging information regarding color and flavor, and your own knowledge.

For this experiment, our control will be the manufacturer's stated flavor and corresponding color as noted on the package.

This number is not referring to your 2 participants, but rather the number of tasters from a larger combined data set including your data, some of class data, and a data set on HM that includes data from past semesters. The total number of tasters in this data set will be 106.
