Identify 3 to 5 project risks and then for each risk, assess the likelihood (probability) of occurring in the project and the severity (impact to the project if they occur) using a three level qualitative scale of Low, Medium, and High. Then rank each risk as to its risk exposure/priority ( 1 for highest overall risk, etc.). Then identify an appropriate risk response catagory and a specific response for each risk (e.g., "transfer" the risk by obtaining insurance to deal with the risk). You should document this project risk assessment using the project risk register template provided in Appendix A. Limit your risk assessment to one page maximum. You will submit this exercise along with the exercises in Modules 7, 9,10, 11, and 12 as one combined document in the Deliverable 2. At a minimum, your template shall provide status information related to cost performance, schedule performance, technical performance/progress/deliverables submitted, quality performance (percent passing audits, inspections, and tests), team performance and risk status. Your report shall also provide the opportunity to provide planned activities, team changes, and corrective actions as appropriate. Then go ahead and fill out your form with notional made-up sample data, and draw a hypothesized conclusion as to the health of the project at the time of the status report. There is no standard format for a project status/progress report so many use a spread sheet format to present the information described above. Whatever format you choose to present the data requested, make sure it can be embedded into a MS Word or pdf document for submission. Limit your status report to two pages maximum.
