The scholarly articles are written by faculty, researchers, doctors, artists, and historians like chemists. These scholars have done extensive research on the subject.

He brings in his own theory about why the water is contaminated and not good enough to drink. He talks about how the state needs to have uncontaminated water for all the residents and people.

In the peer review article, there were facts stated. On the other hand, in the popular article, states the author's opinion on how he feels about water contamination. These two articles are totally different because having peer review would give you a better idea of what happened and what the researcher really wants to say about water contamination. The popular article did not help, it stated opinions and no substantial data to support the findings.
