The issue of domestic violence has become a national concern in recent years. Research indicates that one in four women will be a victim of domestic violence in her lifetime and that financial abuse occurs in 98% of those cases. Financial abuse (withholding funds, destroying credit and jeopardizing jobs) provides abusers with another was to control and punish their victims.
