After numerous campus interviews, Bill Jones, a Senior in college, received two office interview invitations from two large companies on the East Coast. Both firms have agreed to cover his out-ofpocket expenses for travel, hotel, and meals. Bill scheduled both interviews for the same day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. At the conclusion of the interviews, Bill submitted his total travel receipts in the amount of $950 to both firms. Bill believes that this approach is appropriate, after all, if he had made two trips it would have cost each firm $950 anyway.
