Explore a Theory

1. Complete the self-assessment, Theoretical Orientation Scale. Note the theories that are at the top of the list of your results.
2. Begin your post with a description of what you learned from the self-assessment: Was there a theory or combination of theories that would be a good t for you? What were they? Identify three theories that you would like to explore.
3. Explore each of the three theories using the Counseling Theories media activity. If there are theories that are not listed, do some Internet searching.
4. Find three professional articles from the literature or journals, one article about each theory.
5. In your post, type the APA citations for all three articles.
6. Under each article, write 3 to 5 sentences of your "take-aways" from the article, such as the things that you will remember about the theory or the application of the theory.
