Familiarize yourself with the assumptions and parameters in row 3 through row 13. This pilot project is proposed to create a work-from-home option for some Howard County employees. It's based on the experience during the pandemic of having employees work remotely. This approach (working from home) will be tried as a pilot or proof of concept. In the long run the pilot could transition into a permanent program, affecting how most County employees will work in the future. Because working from home is expected to be overwhelmingly popular, employees will receive 4% bonuses while working on site during FY23, which will include ALL employees for the first half of FY23 but not pilot participants for the 2nd half of FY23. Beyond the rationale (above) for the remote-work pilot
