In Unit D, I learned about how important the analytics mindset is. It is a way of thinking that will help managers make better and more effective decisions using the data that is being collected. I initially thought that the first step to this mindset was very simple. After learning more about this topic, I realized how important it is to ask the right question in the analytics mindset. Asking the right question is very important because it will allow analysts to efficiently find a solution to their problem as they go through the mindset. The question needs to follow the SMART framework it needs to be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Timely. When this guide is not followed, it can cause analysts to extract, transform and load irrelevant data that will not answer their question. This will cause time to be wasted, making this a vital step.
