Figure 1 shows a pin-loaded truss structure. A force of 20 kN, which acts at 60° to the horizontal, is applied at Point 2. Each member of the truss has a cross-sectional area of 0.15 m² and is constructed from steel with Young's modulus of 210 GPa.
