Consider that the problem is discretized by 4-node quadrilateral elements as shown below. Nodal coordinates data and element connectivity data are given in separate files.Distributed load can be converted into equivalent nodal point loads acting on the right edge. Specific values of E,u and F are specified below.

Write a finite element program (in Matlab or Python or any other language) that will find the nodal displacements for the given discretization. Please keep in mind that the general structure is going to be almost identical to that of the program you wrote for 2D truss analysis. The major difference comes from the element formulation. We discussed the details of this part in the classroom. Try to extent the program such that the deformed shape can be drawn. For this purpose you can draw each element by 4 line segments and construct a loop over all elements.
Assume that E=5000,u=0.2 and F=5.0 in proper and consistent units. Using the same E,u,t and F values, solve the following problem. Compare the deformed shape and comment on the resulting stress and strain fields.
