OBJECTIVE

The objectives of this project are to:

$$ Perform an installation of the Linux operating system on your device via virtual machine

$$ Troubleshoot the system

DESCRIPTION

In this project, you will perform complete installations of the Linux operating system virtually, which will allow you to run multiple operating systems simultaneously. You will learn to resolve any conflicts that occurs during installation, and you will have to document all the steps performed during installation.

INSTRUCTIONS

$1.$ Verify that your computer is Hyper$-$V enabled:

i$)$ Click on Start menu and type $"$cmd$"$ in the search bar.

ii$)$ Right$-$click on the Command Prompt and select "Run as administrator".

iii$)$ Type "systeminfo.exe" and press Enter.

iv$)$ Check if everything under Hyper$-$V requirements has a "YES" beside it$.$ If there is a $"$NO$",$ you need to enable it first.

$2.$ Download and install Hyper$-$V on Windows $10$ Home:

i$)$ Google and download a Hyper$-$V enabler file, such as Hyper$-$V enabler.BAT for Windows $10$ Home.

ii$)$ Right$-$click on the downloaded file and select "Run as administrator".

iii$)$ Wait for the installation to finish and restart your computer.
