Title: The development of social engineering concepts within cybersecurity field

Abstract: How has social engineering changed over time, looking at what cyber attacks looked like in the past couple decades related to social engineering? It is interesting to examine how the general methodology has stayed the same but the techniques have had to adapt. This paper will look into the general approaches, such as phishing, baiting and watering hole, and how they are adapted through the vast growth of cybersecurity concepts. In addition to the background research, the phenomena implications in the future are going to be discussed. It is crucial to look more into the automation of social engineering attacks in order to provide insight into possible automation of cybersecurity approaches. The fact that there will be automated attacks targeting automated systems and it will rely on which one will be better than the other is going to be one if the main concerns of this project. Furthermore, the research into internal social engineering and internal system administrators setting up such approaches like phishing is going to outline the weakest links are in their system and allow further development of security process research. please write a feedback after you read the project above.
