Case Presentation

The case that you choose must be from a current or past trade dispute under NAFTA.

The case must be trade-related and be in line with NAFTA requirements.

In a minimum of one-half page to a maximum of two pages you are to present the case dispute with respect to:

Who filed the complaint

Who the complaint was filed against

Why the complaint was filed

Why the complaint was disputed

Analysis (Facts)

You are required to analyze the case in a minimum of one page and a maximum of two pages.

Describe who is perceived to be in the wrong.

Analyze the issues the complaint is based on.

Outline what the dispute resolution will have to consider.

Explain your thoughts on the case.

Issue

Clearly present the issue of the case in a minimum of one sentence to maximum of one paragraph.

Outcome (Decision)

Describe the actual outcome of the case in a minimum of one-half page to a maximum of one page.

Explain why you agree or disagree with the outcome.

If there is no decision in the dispute yet, describe the likely outcome based on your research of the dispute.
