Second, if I country does not have comparative advantage, should it pursue to achieve it. Why or why not?

Finally, government intervention in promoting trade by provisions such as subsidy has been proven to be very effective in creating comparative advantage in many sectors of the economy and in many countries. But this type of intervention comes at the cost worsening budgetary deficit and draining resources from other sectors. Do you still believe that government intervention is warranted and worthwhile?
