First, you should analyze the data in the table below. These are not regression results. They are summary statistics similar to the development indicators that you have seen in class and in some assignments. The values in parentheses refer to the year that the measure is taken if different from the one specified in the column title.

Second, develop motivation for a development intervention by: i) identifying some pattern in the data in Table 1 (you should specify which pattern using specific figures from the table); ii) connecting this pattern with some economic problem; and iii) situating this problem in one of the lessons from "In place of a sweeping conclusion" in Poor Economics. 

Third, you should then describe a development intervention that would address the economic problem identified in your motivation.
