fix and make clear - What experiences do you have in healthcare, either as a patient, healthcare worker, or an observer? Currently, and for the past 5 years I have been in the industry of healthcare. I started with a DME company and then was lucky enough to get a job at city of hope. It took me 5 years to get in and currently i support pediatric oncology physicians as their Sr. Administrative assistant. I also have experience as being a patient for many reasons but the most recent being a ruptured cyst in my ovary. Within city of hope being that we are a cancer focused hospital I see the empathy and the care that the team provides for the families and the patients. I also see the dedication that the physicians and the PA's have. On the other hand, i also see the advocacy that physicians and staff represent. If they need to spend hours on the phone battling insurance to start treatment they, do it. And even when we loose the battles and face barriers we still make sure to send our patients
