flowchart for:
Sparky Insurance: Work ordering process The work ordering process starts when a customer needs maintenance work to be done and sends a work order to Sparky Insurance. Upon the receipt of this request, the ordering department of Sparky Insurance estimates three usages in parallel: the expected usage of supplies, parts, and labour. After completing these estimates, the ordering department prepares a quote with the estimated total cost for the maintenance activity. Then, the ordering department checks the customers vehicle insurance. If the customers vehicle is insured, the insurance department attaches the insurance details to the quote for the ordering department to further process the transaction. If the customers vehicle is not insured, the ordering department proceeds with the next activity in the process. Next, regardless of whether the customers vehicle is insured or not, the ordering department then sends the quote to the customer, who then receives it and can decide either to accept or reject the quote. If the customer rejects the quote, they inform the ordering department, and the order is cancelled. If the ordering department does not hear back from the customer within 5 days, the order is also regarded as cancelled. If the customer accepts the quote, they send a confirmation to the ordering department. The ordering department sends a request for a suitably equipped service bay and a suitably qualified mechanic to perform the work to an external garage. After that, the garage sends a confirmation of the appointment to the ordering department which forwards the confirmation to the customer. The customer sends payment to the ordering department and the order is fulfilled.
