For a developer, a repository is the best CV possible. You can speak all you want about your excellent hard skills but providing a link to your code repo would make it more believable. While GitHub is one of the most popular, there are many other repositories that can be used. You wont know which one your employer is using, so understanding them is important.

Research one other repository that is commonly used or prevalent in the workplace. DO NOT DISCUSS GITHUB

Provide a detailed description of the features of the repository, including any issues that might arise when using the repository, and how it compares, favorably or unfavorably, to GitHub.

Be sure to post a substantive response to one of your classmates posts and cite any resources used.

The most successful students post early in the week and frequently come back throughout the week to post comments on other students posts.
