For Assignment 2, you will need to download the writing samples provided in the learning module and you mustuse MS Word track changes so I can see your line-edits and also your comments in the margin about the strengths or weaknesses of the passage.

In this assignment you will analyze and evaluate the same writing samples presented in the practice activity at the start of this module as well as several additional samples.

As you review the samples, once again think about whether the writer achieved synthesis, effective organization of information and ideas, effective introduction of multiple subtopics, analysis of evidence from sources, scholarly tone, clarity, and explanation of logic.

To prepare:

• Download the document containing the scholarly writing samples (provided).
• Review and evaluate each sample using the prompts listed below.
• Identify passages that exhibit effective scholarly writing, and you must use track changes so your comments are included explaining what makes the passages effective.
• Identify passages of ineffective scholarly writing. Use Track Changes to suggest appropriate revisions and add comments to provide feedback and encouragement for improving the writing.
