Student Response 1

I think that the most important part of supply chain management is the final component. Think about it, you have to go through all the steps of the chain, right? Then the final component is to Plan, Source, Make, Deliver and Return. The initial stage is honestly the understanding of the model to help the leader benefit most for productivity of supply chain management. If there is a break in the chain then the entire system would crumble. So the planning process is meticulous with the steps to foresee the process that is to make the item. Then you need to understand the source or the supplier. What are the supplier needs and wants and does your product meet these needs. The Make is the development of the quality process. The Delivery is the shipping of the product to the location and finally the Return is after the product hits the location what support is provided for the location and the customers. Honestly, if any point has a misstep then the entire chain is broken. Therefore, the most important part of supply chain management is then entire process.

Student Response 2

According to Douglas, M. (2019, February 28) the most important part of supply chain management is the communication between the supplier and the vendors that work with the customers. Communication is key for the success of the product being sold and making a profit. If there is miscommunication then the quality of the product could be compromised, the shipping could be mishandled, or the customer care could be inaccurate. Therefore, the most important part of Supply Chain Management is the communication.

Student Response 3

Each step for the supply chain is important. You cannot pick one. If any of the steps are broken then the entire system will fail (Douglas, 2019).
