The assignment is to present a case study regarding an ethical situation focused on business.

Introduction: the specific case that you are going to be writing about. Present the facts of the situation. You want to be as precise as you can with citations for all relevant data. This part of the paper is relatively objective. If you are discussing the MLB and cheating, you arent making any points here just reporting the facts of the matter.

Body: This part is where you introduce the ethical problem and the stances that would be taken. You have to fully explain the positions involved. i.e. dont just tell me that Friedman would approve because blah blah blah, profit. You have to consider the full ramifications of this position and possible objections. Again, citations are necessary.

Conclusion: You wrap up the paper by giving your opinion on the subject based on what you have already said. First thing, your opinion is not bulletproof, you can be wrong based on what you have already said. Your conclusion should be justified by the entire previous paper. You cant spend the entire paper arguing that the IOC is a corrupt organization but then conclude with, however its an independent body so whatevs.

Your conclusion should tie the entire thing together without leaving any questions about what your position is. Sometimes students turn in papers that end on a rhetorical question or some kind of mitigating comment. Dont do that, its your position you do not have to qualify it.

Finally: You need to have a bibliography or works cited page. Technically, anything without it is plagiarism so dont do that.
